Equine Mentorship

What is Equine Mentorship?

Horses have the unique ability to sense and often mirror what is going on inside a human. Each student spends time with a human mentor, spending a third of their time learning about and helping with farm chores. The other two thirds of the time is spent with a human mentor guiding interactions with an equine mentor. This time with the horse is used to understand safety, learn new skills, and offer the opportunity to gain self-awareness based on the responses and feedback the horse gives. Horses are always seeking a good leader and are masters at reading and responding to body language. Key themes that often arise during sessions are: learning to be grounded and present, leadership, forgiveness, emotional and physical awareness.

Sessions are and hour and a half and are currently only being offered Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
